Digital yet delicious

client: Crisp

role in the project: copywriter

You buy a croissant because you could smell it from meters away when you cycled past the bakery this morning. The fishmonger can explain to you step by step how to prepare sea bass fillet. And you may stand in line at the butcher's, but at least he can tell you exactly where that steak came from.

Selling food through digital shelves presents many communication challenges. Crisp asked me to write product texts for their entire range of special products from passionate small makers and growers from the Netherlands and Belgium.

This resulted in hundreds of pieces of text that convey flavor through a screen. All written to distinguish Crisp's special products from the regular supermarket offering, and to convince the customer that they can trust Crisp's quality just as much as their own baker, fishmonger or butcher.

background:

Crisp is the supermarket app that delivers good food without detours. Tasty products that are super fresh and also priced right. They achieve this by buying directly from small makers, growers and cultivators who know what they are doing. This is how they deliver food with the shortest chain from farm to fork to households throughout the Netherlands and Flanders.
